（東北大2017年）

     The first reason is that it is more convenient to choose clothes freely. You can change it according to the daily temperature and weather. Some people say that students are at risk of concentrating on fashion and not studying at school. However, honing their fashion sense is as important as academics. 

     The second reason is that the teachers and students spend a lot of time on uniforms. For example, every morning, they spend a lot of time checking whether there are violations of students’ uniforms or not. Some people may be able to learn to match others by wearing the same clothes, but I think you should learn that skill in a group setting. 

     For these two reasons, I think it is better not to have a uniform. (144 words)



【日本語訳】
　高校生は制服を着るべきではないと思います。これには2つの理由があります。

　第一の理由は、自由に服を選ぶ方が便利だからです。毎日の気温や天候に合わせて変更できます。学生がファッションに集中し、学校で勉強しないリスクがあると言う人もいます。しかし、彼らのファッションセンスを磨くことは学問と同じくらい重要です。

　第二の理由は、教師と生徒が制服に多くの時間を費やしていることです。たとえば、毎朝、学生服の違反がないかどうかをチェックするのに多くの時間を費やしています。同じ服を着ることで他の人と合わせることを学ぶことができる人もいるかもしれませんが、グループでそのスキルを学ぶべきだと思います。

　この2つの理由から、制服を着ない方がいいと思います。
